"if I were to kiss you then go to hell I would. so then I can brag to the devils I saw heaven without ever entering it" William Shakespeare
With all my love
You are my light in the dark, my hope, my love. You flood my world with love and light and make me feel as though I can do anything at all.
Your smile is the one thing that fuels my wild dreams.
My Light
You are the brightness I find when everything else goes dim.
There are feelings so large they do not fit inside ordinary language, and loving you is one of them. You are my light in the dark, my hope when I am uncertain, and my love in the truest, deepest sense. Your smile could bring me to my knees with its beauty, and even that still feels too small a sentence for what you are to me.
What You Make Possible
You fill my whole world with love, light, and impossible courage.
You flood my world with love and light and make me feel as though I can do anything at all. You make my wildest dreams feel reachable. You make the future feel warm. Every version of tomorrow shines more beautifully the moment I imagine you inside it, smiling that smile that somehow powers every hopeful thing in me.
The truth is simple: loving you makes me braver, softer, and more alive all at once.
The Sonnet
Sonnet XVIII, because I read it aloud to you late one night before we ever met.
Some memories feel like they were always waiting for us. Reading this to you before we had even met feels like one of them. It still belongs to you in my mind, like it knew where my heart was going long before I did.
William Shakespeare, Sonnet XVIII.
Sonnet XVIII Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Still Not Enough Words
My heart and soul had to grow just to make room for loving you.
I do not think you can fully understand how deeply I love you, because my heart and soul had to grow to accommodate my love for you. That is what loving you feels like: becoming larger just to hold it. Even now, words spill past their edges, so I placed the truest confessions here in the open for you.
"if a million love you, I am one of them. if one loves you, it is me. if no one loves you, then know that I am dead." Franz Kafka
There is no corner of my life untouched by you. You are the light, the hope, the love, and the smile that keeps all my wild dreams alive.
